Abstract acrylic paintings impulsively from the moment

For me, the creative act means liberation from limiting ideas and expectations. It's a moment in which I let go of rigid rules and preconceived notions and fully embrace the flow of my inner impulses. When I create, I act intuitively and allow what arises from within me to happen. Sometimes it's vague memories, loose thoughts, or spontaneous inspirations that find their way onto a canvas. Other days, I feel guided by a subtle feeling that draws me into the studio, and I begin painting quite spontaneously.

The special thing about this creative process is that the finished work often only becomes visible as the work progresses. The painting reveals itself to me step by step, and I consider it complete when I can feel its full power and meaning. For me, painting is a form of self-discovery and expression, allowing me to freely develop.

Christine Marquardt creates unique works of art using an experimental wet-on-wet technique. She deliberately breaks with traditional rules and boldly combines acrylic paints with fragments of writing, found objects, and unexpected materials. These combinations merge on her canvases into dynamic, multi-layered compositions full of energy, depth, and expressiveness. Her works often emerge in the moment, influenced by impressions from her travels and personal experiences. This spontaneous and experimental approach results in works that reflect a vibrant connection between inner inspiration and outer experience.
